do you really believe that people will stop treating you like an a-listed and putting you in tabloids? i hope it's true, i really do, but you actually believe it? there are a million things more important than what you wear to go to the store but people just don't think like that and i'm not sure how you've ended up in this position, but it sucks. THIS is what should getthe exposure. stuff like this entry. sometimes your heart amazes me. i know you would get a lot less slack for promoting what you want helped/what you believe in if you were just a regular semi-known blogger, but the wide scale reached for the stuff you do bring attention can and will change lives. i know people call you the world's biggest douche and i'm surprised this blog and the blogspot doesn't get more exposure in the media, tbh, but yeah. you are so sweet in such a childlike way, never lose that. i will try send something.

It's nice knowing that people care about others lives that don't entail the paparrazzi, etc... Like, it's cool that helping someone out who is in dire need of some assistance means more to people than reading about people in People or Star Mag.

These are the times when I wish I had my own money. I wish I could go get a job and spend at least 70% of my money on other people. People who need money more than I do. I'm only fifteen and I can't drive. My mom says I can't get a job until I can drive. I will write a letter though and hopefully it will cheer him and his family up and make things a little easier for them to cope with. I do hope the people who can donate will.

santa monica does have cool paintings.
  • Rachel · 1 year ago
God, Pete. How is it that whenever I read your entries, I can't stop crying or laughing or...I don't even know. Your words (both lyrics and everything else) just reach out and make my heart explode into a billion little Rachel-shaped pieces.
  • Rachel · 1 year ago
sometimes I don't know how you can be real because how can someone so awesome survive in this world?
  • 666th · 1 year ago
that story your mother told you about daniel broke my heart. there are so many people exactly like him in this world and it just makes you wonder. it's unfortunate how such genuine souls get dealt cards such as those. thank you for telling us about daniel, many of us will keep him in our thoughts, write to him, and donate. although i don't know the details regarding your family, stay strong forever.

  • Hailey · 1 year ago
I really wish that I was able to help out with things like that. My mom is a nurse and I see people all the time who really need more help than they can afford. It just bums me out that the people that can make a big difference with just a little effort decide to turn their heads and look away. But the ones that truly want to help just cant hack it.
  • Jessa Nichele · 1 year ago
I think its amazing that you care so much for the causes, even if they are as simple as on guy that you don't even know. (I will definatly send as much as I can) People need a well known face on good deeds for society and the earth, and thats why I think its so amazing when bands and actors try to help out.
  • Lindz · 1 year ago
You are seriously an amazing person Pete. I think donating to something like this is something good and I'm going to talk to my father about sending in something. Not sure how much I can get outta him, but I'll try because it's worth it.

i already commented but i just read your new blogspot. it was so nice. it's my birthday today, and it's the nicest thing i've been gifted with. i am spending it sick in the head and alone, unfortunately - you know when you just cant bring yourself to move and go do anything at all, my head feels full of fog, and i think i'm over-emotional because your entry made me cry. you've been the bright point of my day which is nice because sometimes worrying about you is the stressful point of my day.
  • Dacia Lanae · 1 year ago
People like you make the stars shine brighter...I have been waiting on a trasplant since I was 17 (I'm 20 now), and during one of my extended hospital stays I was approached by Make-A-Wish and given the chance to fulfil a dream. Sometimes simple acts of kindness can give you the strength to fight when the doctors say you should quit. Sharing my kindness is now one of the most important things to me because it saved my life. Thanks Pete for this great oppurtunity to help someone who truly needs it.

PETE! YOU'RE JUST AWESOME GUY! You do so many good things! Making an amazing lyric, perfect clothes (which I dream about ut have no chance to buy:crying:)You try to help that people whom you don't even know personaly. And it makes me feel more love to you every time when I read your posts. I wish I could do the same things too... but... different culturas, different possibilities... I can't even realize myself here in Russia...but I feel I can do so many things too! Maybe someday I will...

As a cardiac nurse in a critical care unit (I actually work at Dr. Trohman's hospital) , I see many patients come to us awaiting transplant. Most of these patients have had life-long battles with their health and have had several different procedures attempting to better their life expectancy before ever being considered for transplantation. The process for being listed for transplantation is very arduous--these people obviously first go through medical screening but also endure psychological and social evaluations. Once placed on this national list, there is really no promise that there might even be a match for the patient. It's a waiting game...a roll of the dice in the hopes that they will become lucky and get another chance at a normal life.

  • Aleta · 1 year ago
And this is the reason I love you boys. I have NEVER loved a band as much as Fall Out Boy and it's not just because you have awesume music. It's also because you are so down to earth and actually care about things other then your fame and furtune. I'm saving up so I can hopefully fly to one of your concerts (If you ever come to Australia again) and I hope too one day have the extreme pleasure of being able to meet you! I don't really have words to describe how much I admire you and how much of an inspiration you truly are to me. But what I can say is THANKYOU! You rock.

I haven't given money to diabetes research in years, my husband is Type 1 diabetic (insulin shots at every meal) and they haven't invented anything in the last 30 years to make the quality of life better for Type 1's. Most diabetics end up like your mom's friend Daniel (or worse) and it's very sad. I'll help out this guy and hope that someday when my husband is in need people do the same for us. It's useless waiting for a cure that will never happen and worse yet only the super rich can afford to get sick. Thanks for bringing this topic up. I feed strays too, but have no posters to show for it.
  • Dorotea · 1 year ago
Pete, I don't know if you'll read this, but I honestly want to let you know how happy it makes me to see you happy. I know it's rude to delve into your personal life, but I'm so thankful that you've found someone like Ashlee who is good to you and doesn't run around on you. I know the pain that was placed in your heart from years of dealing with Jeanae, but fortunatly it's all in the past now. I've always been a fan of Ashlee's and it's hurt me when People judged her unfairly. People judge you unfairly too, and believe me, it annoys the fuck out of me when tabloids only talk about what party you went to instead of the humanitarian and activist work you do every day.
  • Samantha · 1 year ago
It's funny how you can mix together important things with nonimportant things. Like the life of a sick person and the pap. Honestly, they are going to follow you around more now because your this deep. They are going to be there for every fight and every make up.

Pete i'm still going to care about you in a few weeks about what your wearing, where your at, and if your okay i'll still love you it doesnt change a thing if your getting married. i hope daniel gets the organ transplant i dont really have any money to donate sorry, but i send my love and hope to him. and i hope what ever bad news you got in your family that everything will be okay

my cousin has CF and has had 2 double lung transplants, the first from a donor who had passed away and the second was live donors -his 2 sisters donated a part of their lungs. because he has a terminal illness the insurance company only covers very specific things. even if things go perfectly, the recovery time and expense of everything is astronomical. not to mention the wait before hand and the stress of knowing that for your loved one to live, another family has to loose a loved one.
  • Dakote · 1 year ago
WHY DON'T YOU JUST GIVE HIM THE MONEY???? ARE YOU KIDDING? YOU'RE ASKING US POOR KIDS TO SEND WHAT WE HAVE WHEN YOU HAVE MILLIONS??? AND DID YOU LEAVE THAT DOG WHERE YOU FOUND IT? NICE GOING.
  • Dakote · 1 year ago
THIS DRIVES ME ABSOLUTELY CRAZY, WHEN CELEBRITIES ASK US POOR BASTARDS TO GIVE OUR TINY BITS OF MONEY WHEN YOU COULD JUST PAY FOR THE DAMNED THING YOURSELF, BUT I SUPPOSE YOU HAVE TO SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR TRANSCONTINENTAL FLIGHTS AND 5 STAR HOTEL ROOMS AND LAMBORGHINIS. OF COURSE, NOW I UNDERSTAND. I'VE BEEN WONDERING HOW YOU COULD POSSIBLY BE IN LOVE WITH SOMEONE WHO IS SO FUCKING STUPID AND NOW I SEE IT; YOU'RE FUCKING SOULMATES! TOTALLY OUT OF TOUCH WITH REALITY AND IT'S A CRIME HOW YOU GET THESE YOUNG PEOPLE TO FOLLOW YOU LIKE A CULT AND HANG ON EVERY FUCKING STUPID WORD YOU SPEW.

I don't believe in love. I just don't. I'm plenty old enough to be out on my own and married but I just don't fall for the whole fairy tale happy ending. I don't see how it's enjoyable to see the same damn person day after day that has the ability to make you the happiest you've ever been but also break you down to the worst depression of your life. Something about someone else having that power over me freaks me out. Prove me wrong Pete. Tell me love is real, because I think people are too desperate to find this thing called love so they jsut settle for what's good. I'm a happy person, I just don't think you should let a ring decide your happiness. I will donate money or at least write a letter. I think it's great that you can stand up for something tha won't only be about making your band bigger.

pete, sent a donation to daniel. Also about the stray, I am really glad you left him some food. The picture reminds me in some ways of a pulitzer prize winning photo (1994 I believe) take by a south african photojournalist who was covering the famine in sudan. He captured an image of a little girl who was too weak to make it to the food distribution center and was crouched down on the ground. in the background of the picture is a vulture, and it looks like he is ready to snatch the girl up and any moment and eat her...its hanging in the newseum in DC which just reopened, and of all of the pictures in this amazing pulitzer prize gallery, this one moved me the most and made my cry my face off. The photographer ended up committing suicide at the age of 33 partially due to the giref he felt in not picking up the girl and helping her. Its a very moving piece and if you want to see the picture is on the pulitzer website. Anyway, maybe is a long-off comparison but reminded me...I am so glad you guys gave the dog some food...

You don't have to tell me this story. I'm living it with my 7 year type 1 diabetic son. Its sucks and it hurts. I will send some money because I know someday I may have to face the same thing with my child because thats what diabetes does, it sneaks up and trys to steal your breathe when your not looking. I'm assuming he needs a new kidney....regardless, I hope he gets whatever organ he needs and I hope for a cure for diabetes just as much as for a new FDA that will stop the companies from poisoning us!

Pete, I swear, you know exactly what to say to make me fall in love with fall out boy all over again just like that fateful day at target, three years ago, when i picked up FUCT on the day it was released. Since then, your guys' music has gotten me through EVERYTHING. My first boyfriend, my first breakup, etc. Those words, those hooks, those melodies are the reason why I am who I am. I read your blogspot, and it makes me miss fall out boy a lot. The last time I got to see you guys was last may on the HC tour, where I actually got to meet you guys [somewhat]. Anyways, I miss seeing you live and I miss screaming alone to every single note, goosebumps and all. Please come back soon, I miss you more than you know.

I think it's great that you have found your soul-mate. I found mine when I was 17. We didn't date until I was 19, because he is 6 years older than me, but we have been married now for 15 years. I can't imagine my life with anyone else, and I can't sleep when he is not with me. It's strange to think that it's even possible to love the same person that long, but trust me, it is! I don't believe in god, but I do believe in karma, (I know), and you have a lot of good coming your way. If you should pass through Phoenix again anytime soon, I hope I get to see you and Ashley, holding hands and smiling.

Dude, you literally just made me tear up. You're amazing and this will mean the world to him. It makes me beam with pride to know that there are still people out there who truly care. Not only that, they are willing to stand by what they believe in and do something about it. You are an inspiration, my friend.

My grandmother died in a nursing home when I was 11. I am 12 now and there is not a day that goes by that I don't think of her. My grandfather died first and then she knew it was her time to go. What you said is inspiring and we all want to meet you so badly and we always think we won't, but honestly when Pete goes to heaven...I know that he got me there also and that would be the best day.

Sometimes I wonder how much you can really take from a person in order to complete yourself. Why is it, that we never think of building up from scratch?

Stuff like this is the real reason people love you, Pete... this matters so much more than what you wear when buying milk :p You care about people, whether they're your biggest fan or someone who probably has never even heard of Fall Out Boy.. you care. That means a lot.

Sometimes, I think it's dumb the way most people idolize celebrities so much. I mean, I try to keep the thought that I don't really know these people in my mind, and just appreciate the entertainment factor they provide me and not get too caught up in their personalities or what they're like outside of their careers.

wow that record player must be fun to get up to shenanigans with. If I saw a dog on the side of the road I would've done the same thing even thought they say that dogs only remember for two years, I bet those will be the best two years. THUNDER CATS GO!!!!!!!! Well Pete I guess that you and almost every geek or whatever will be the weird kids eating the ice in the frozen food sections( yep I did it) and will be the ones to memorize the whole power rangers theme(done it)

aww, pete, I always love it that you let us know about things we can do to help. I'd love to donate and I'll do all I can to get some money sent out ASAP. I hope it gets there...I'm quite a ways away from illinois...but I'll try my best. promise. =)

Those damn stray animals, everytime I see one I can't help myself, I have to take it home. Breaks my heart to see them out on the streets without any food, a family or a home. I saw a dog sitting out the front of a shopping center the other day, just standing there at the automatic doors, not going in. At least 50 people walked past and no one stopped for the dog or even blinked an eyelash, they just walked past without a care. Reminded me of this: http://www.snopes.com/critters/crusader/vargas.asp

The guy from your Grandma's home, Daniel, is my brother. Thank you so much for sharing his story and encouraging your fans and friends to send support his way. I am sorry about the bad news you received, but thank you so much for turning it around to help my brother. It means a lot to Dan and to us, his family to see so many caring people come forward to show support for him. Thanks again, and thanks to all of you who have mentioned him in your posts. We appreciate all your thoughts and prayers.
